Biography

Zoe is an MD-PhD student born and raised in New York City. Zoe graduated from Yale University in 2022 with a B.S. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. During her undergraduate studies, she completed her thesis in the laboratory of Professor Daniel DiMaio where she worked to optimize a genetic strategy for targeted protein degradation. After graduating, Zoe moved up to Cambridge Massachusetts to work at the Broad Institute as part of the Cancer Dependency Map. There, she studied mechanisms of resistance to chemotherapeutic drugs in pediatric solid tumors. During her MD-PhD, Zoe is broadly interested in studying the molecular mechanisms of cancer. Outside of her research, Zoe is passionate about addressing health disparities and hopes to specifically work on combating health inequities in the context of pediatric illnesses, especially cancers.
