Stephanie Sanjines

Stephanie is a first-year student in the MD-PhD program from Ridgefield Park, New Jersey. She earned her bachelor's degree at Harvard in Human Developmental and Regenerative Biology, where she completed an honors thesis in the lab of Dr. Cristina Aguayo-Mazzucato at the Joslin Diabetes Center focusing on senescent pancreatic beta cells in Type 2 Diabetes. She then went on to complete a Fulbright research fellowship and a master's degree in Barcelona, Spain in the lab of Dr. Direna Alonso-Curbelo, focused on uncovering senescent cell niches in metastasis-permissive tissues.
