Biography

Saeed is an MD-PhD candidate currently pursuing studies in the laboratories of of Dr. Seth Herzon and Dr. Ranjit Bindra in the Departments of Pharmacology and Chemistry. As a part of the Herzon/Bindra collaborative, Saeed is developing novel chemotherapeutic prodrugs. Prior to Yale, Saeed attended Dartmouth College where he majored in Chemistry and Biology. Aside from engaging in synthetic and medicinal chemistry research, Saeed has also been involved in various clinical research projects, particularly in the realm of cardiovascular medicine.

Outside of the research lab, Saeed is heavily involved with the anatomy teaching labs at Yale where he TA's for first-year medical students, facilitates special training activities, and completes dissection projects. Saeed ultimately hopes to pursue a career as a surgeon-scientist.
