Phillip Kong

Phillip (he/him) is an MD-PhD student from Toronto, Canada. He graduated from Pomona College with a major in Molecular Biology and a minor in Philosophy. During undergrad, Phillip researched the genetic underpinning of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease in the lab of Jun Liu at Mayo Clinic. After graduation, he worked in the lab of Joseph Mancias at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute to define mechanisms of therapeutic resistance in pancreatic cancer. At Yale, his research interests are in cancer evolution and therapeutics. In his free time, Phillip enjoys watching and playing sports, meal prepping, and reading science fiction.
