Leanna Bai

Leanna Bai is an MD-PhD student from Massachusetts. She graduated with honors from Brown University in Biochemistry and Literary Arts. As an undergraduate, Leanna was mentored by Dr. Nicolas Fawzi and uncovered molecular mechanisms and biophysical behaviors of intrinsically-disordered proteins in neurodegenerative disease. Following this, she earned a postbac fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, where she developed and tested novel antibody therapies for neuroblastoma in the lab of Dr. Jeffrey Gildersleeve.

Outside of research, Leanna likes to write, drink tea, and contemplate her place in the cosmos.
