Biography
Leanna Bai is an MD-PhD student from Massachusetts. She graduated with honors from Brown University in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology and Literary Arts. As an undergraduate, Leanna worked in the lab of Dr. Nicolas Fawzi, uncovering the molecular mechanisms and biophysical behaviors of proteins implicated in neurodegeneration. Following this, she was mentored by Dr. Jeffrey Gildersleeve at the National Cancer Institute, where she developed and tested novel anti-glycan antibodies for neuroblastoma.
Outside of research, Leanna likes to write, drink tea, and contemplate her place in the cosmos.
