Biography

Jacob is an MD-PhD student interested in elucidating targetable mechanisms of genomic instability and epigenetic dysregulation that contribute to tumorigenesis, cancer progression, and therapeutic resistance. Originally from New Jersey, Jacob pursued his undergraduate education at the University of Southern California and graduated from the Resident Honors Program in 2022 with a B.S. in biochemistry. At USC, Jacob worked with Dr. Irene Chiolo to study mechanisms of DNA double strand break repair in pericentromeric heterochromatin.
