2022 MD-PhD Program Retreat

December 18, 2022

The annual MD-PhD Program Retreat was held on September 9-10, 2022 under a big tent on the E.S. Harkness Lawn with pristine weather.  The continuing uncertainties of COVID when we were planning the retreat venue last year forced us to stay local.  Hopefully with the waning of the pandemic, we will return to an overnight retreat next fall!

Karaoke after the Folkers Dinner was a big hit with the talented new first-year students, led by our very own Singing Cat Lady-Sue Sansone. The Houses welcomed their new first-year members and then faced off on a tough razor case created by Dr. Tamar Taddei.  We continued the theme of exploring the challenge of diversity, equity, inclusivity and belonging with a lecture and discussion on "Engaging in Difficult Conversations" with Paris Lawrence, M.Ed., the Associate Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Training & Development.  PASS mentoring and a Physician-Scientist Mixer with PSTP fellows, new junior physician-scientist faculty and Janeway Scholars capped off the retreat.  Below are some pictures!
