EMD Seminar Series: Kaveh Khoshnood - "Health in Humanitarian Crises: Role of Public Health Academicians"

In my presentation, I will discuss the critical role and contributions of public health academicians in responding to humanitarian crises. I’ll begin with an overview of humanitarian crises, focusing on the unique challenges posed by armed conflicts. Following this, I will explore the health impacts of these crises and share key findings from my research conducted in humanitarian settings. I will also introduce my Humanitarian Research Lab, highlighting its work across multiple conflict-affected countries, including Ukraine and Sudan, and demonstrating how academic research can drive effective humanitarian action and inform policy decisions in real-world crises.
