Biography
David Smith is a graduate of the University of CT (BS, 1995) and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School (MD, 1999). Dr. Smith is trained in internal medicine (2002), vascular biology (2005), and cardiovascular medicine (2007) at Yale University and currently is an Assistant Clinical Professor. He has been the site principal investigator on numerous studies in cardiopulmonary disease. Dr. Smith has published in vascular biology, statin-endothelial interactions, dyslipidemia in sleep apnea, and disparate ethno-relevant clinical outcomes. NIH PRIDE scholar, past Board Member and Research Chair for the Association of Black Cardiologists. Dr Smith is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Cardiology.
