    • 7/26/23: Dr. Zhang led a panel discussion at the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's (ASAP) Annual Meeting in San Diego, California. Topic: “Guiding principles for defining cellular subtypes in the central nervous system”
    • 5/12/23: Dr. Zhang gave a talk at Roche, Basal, Switzerland. Talk title: “Single-cell transcriptomic atlas of Alzheimer’s disease middle temporal gyrus reveals region, cell type and sex specificity of gene expression with novel genetic risk for MERTK in female”

    • 6/6/22: Dr. Zhang gave a talk at the Keystone Symposia on Neuro-Immune Interactions in the Central Nervous System and Neurodegeneration in Keystone, Colorado. Talk title: “Neuro-Immune Interactions in Parkinson’s Disease”
    • 5/15/22: Dr. Zhang was awarded the NIH NIDA's Avenir Award as a DP2 grant for research on opioid use disorder, HIV, and related neuroinflammation. DP2 grant title: "Immune Network Dysregulation of the Central Nervous System with HIV Persistence and Opioid Abuse." The Avenir Awards program recognizes early-career investigators whose research significantly further the understanding of addiction science.

    • 4/7/22: Dr. Zhang gave a talk at the Aligning Science Across Parkinson's (ASAP) Annual Meeting in the Bahamas. Talk title: "Immune Mediated Autoimmunity in Prodromal PD"

    • 12/10/21: Dr. Zhang gave a talk at Yale Neurology Grand Rounds. Talk title: “Tracing the Origin and Progression of Parkinson’s Disease through the Neuro-Immune Interactome”
    • 12/1/21: Dr. Chuanhua He joined the lab as an associate research scientist!
    • 9/15/21: Dr. Zhang was awarded the first NIH grant as R56 from the NIA to investigate sex difference, genetic risk, and drug responsiveness in Alzheimer's disease. R56 grant title: "Sex-Specific Single Cell Expression Profiles, Genetic Risk and Drug Responsiveness in Alzheimer's Disease"
    • 5/1/21: Dominic Yin received the Yale College Dean's Research Fellowship! Congratulations, Dominic! Project title: "Investigating Neuroinflammatory Signatures in Multiple Sclerosis Using Single Nucleus Profiling of the Brain"
    • 5/1/21: Dr. Zhang was selected as the Research Scholar at the Yale Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC): The ADRC seeks to identify and promote the career development of a diverse group of promising junior investigators with an interest in dementia research. This award is aimed at junior faculty within the first five year of their appointment, although exception are possible for mid-level faculty entering the field of dementia research.
    • 12/3/20: Dr. Zhang gave a talk at the Sixth Annual Single Cell Analysis USA Congress, NextGen Omics US. Talk title: "Single Cell Analysis of Neurological Disorders: A New Approach to Dissect Immunological Perturbations in Human Brain"
