    Dr. Knauert received her MD and PhD degrees from the Yale School of Medicine. She completed an internal medicine residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and pulmonary, critical care, and sleep fellowships at Yale University School of Medicine. She joined the PCCSM faculty in 2013. She has been a Pepper, YCCI and Doris Duke Scholar. Her research interests are focused on acute sleep deprivation in the ICU, atypical ICU sleep, and ICU circadian disruption.

    Taylor completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota and her Master's in Biology at the University of Saint Joseph. Before joining the Knauert lab in 2019, Taylor was part of a University of Minnesota lab that focused on the molecular pathways involved in Huntington’s disease. In her spare time, Taylor enjoys distance running, DIY projects, and spending time with her two cats.
