de Havenon Lab
Despite being largely preventable, stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and disability worldwide. The de Havenon Lab is dedicated to addressing this global health challenge by identifying novel strategies for reducing stroke risk, preventing recurrent strokes, and improving post-stroke recovery outcomes. Our mission is to advance cerebrovascular research that bridges gaps and disparities in stroke prevention and care and to train the next generation of cerebrovascular researchers.
Under the leadership of Adam de Havenon, MD, MSCI, a vascular neurologist with expertise in acute stroke treatment and outpatient care, the lab conducts clinical and epidemiological studies to advance research on vascular health. de Havenon’s research interests span intracranial atherosclerosis, blood pressure variability, vascular cognitive impairment, white matter hyperintensity, and the development of advanced neuroimaging techniques.
