History of the Mass Spectrometry Resource
The MS & Proteomics Resource of the W.M. Keck Biotechnology Resource Laboratory at Yale’s School of Medicine was founded three decades ago in 1980 in the Department of Molecular Biochemistry and Biophysics. Dr. Kenneth R. Williams founded the Keck Lab, then called the Protein Chemistry Facility, and it is now managed by Dr. TuKiet Lam. The resulting/evolving Keck Lab now encompasses Proteomics, Genomics, Biostatistics and Bioinformatics. For more fun facts on the journey of the MS & Proteomics Resource, view by clicking here.
