Nae Pajarillo
About
Biography
Nae (Naeem) is a graduate researcher exploring how early-life experiences shape the developing brain at the molecular and circuit levels. With a focus on stress and drug exposure, their work investigates how environmental factors disrupt neural connectivity and reprogram gene transcription during sensitive developmental windows. By integrating tools from genomics, transcriptomics, and neurocircuitry mapping, they aim to uncover mechanisms of vulnerability and risk that underlie or influence psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. Passionate about bridging basic science with translational impact, Nae is committed to advancing our understanding of how early adversity such as ca exposure leaves lasting molecular imprints on the brain.
