Dr. Golshan Honored by the American Surgical Association

Dr. Golshan was recently inducted into the the American Surgical Association.

Mehra Golshan, MD, MBA, professor of surgery (oncology), was inducted into the American Surgical Association, the nation's oldest surgical organization

Membership in the American Surgical Association is limited to surgeons who are recognized leaders nationally as evidenced by leadership roles in major surgical organizations and invited lectureships and collaborations. Nominations are evaluated by an advisory membership committee.

Dr. Golshan was inducted into the the American Surgical Association. He is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Surgical Services at Smilow Cancer Hospital and Yale Cancer Center. He also serves as the Executive Vice Chair of Operations in the Department of Surgery. He joined the Yale faculty in 2020.

Prior to joining Yale, he was the inaugural and incumbent Dr. Abdul Mohsen and Sultana Al-Tuwaijri Distinguished Chair in Surgical Oncology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He also served as the Director of the Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship and was an associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Golshan is a Board Member of the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, Chair of NAPBC Education Committee, Chair of the American College of Surgeons Committee on Interprofessional Education and Practice, and Chair of the American Society of Breast Surgeons Question of the Week Committee.
