Biography

I am deeply captivated by the exploration of the development of social behaviors. My goal is to increase our understanding of how developmental processes shape the fundamental aspects of socio-emotional behaviors. In pursuit of this objective, my research employs state-of-the-art techniques such as functional imaging of neural activity, optogenetics, and chemogenetics, which allow for identifying, delineating, and manipulating specific neural circuits. Through these methodologies, I strive to elucidate different neuronal circuits that exert causal control over internal emotional states to alter social behavior.
