Program Director and Lead Engineer, 3D Collaborative for Medical Innovation
Biography
Alyssa Glennon is the Program Director and Lead Engineer at the Yale 3D Collaborative for Medical Innovation, or 3DC. She has collaborated with some of the world’s preeminent orthopaedic surgeons to create 3D virtual surgical plans and patient-specific instrumentation for use in surgery, including during the world’s first pediatric, bilateral hand transplant; the world’s first autologous elbow-to-elbow transplant; and the world’s first successful face and bilateral hand transplant for a single patient. She is a strong advocate for applying advanced 3D technology in patient care, with the goal of expanding its use and access to patients.
