Overview
Jennifer Renz, MD, is an ophthalmologist with subspecialty training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Renz's clinical focus includes treating complex eyelid and orbital issues, as well as performing cataract surgery. She specializes in ptosis repair; blepharoplasty, entropion and ectropion surgery; management of benign tumors and cancers of the eyelids and orbit; Mohs reconstruction; facial trauma and orbital reconstruction; lacrimal obstruction; thyroid eye disease, and orbital inflammation.
In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Renz is dedicated to education and research as an associate professor of ophthalmology and visual science at Yale School of Medicine. She has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, including the Archives of Ophthalmology, co-authored a book chapter in “The Infected Eye,” and acted as an editor of the Grand Rounds section of Ocular Surgery News. She has presented at local, national, and international conferences.
Dr. Renz earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her ophthalmology residency and fellowship in oculoplastic and reconstructive surgery at New England Eye Center at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
