Commencement 2022

June 16th, 2022 marked a pivotal night in our department as we not only celebrated the success of our graduated residents and fellows, but also the first time we as a department came together for an event since the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic. We gathered to honor the accomplishments of our trainees, reflecting on the years of studying, countless exams, and endless hours in the clinic. They have been molded into true professionals who encompass some of the most important qualities in being a physician.

Additionally, we reflected on the level of devotion our teaching faculty provides to our medical education programs. We hold some of the most devoted, skilled, and proficient physicians who provide world class leadership and instruction to assist our trainees in becoming successful physicians themselves. Our programs are unparalleled, and I am proud of the results we yield as a team.

I am confident that the future of our program will bring unprecedented success, and I look forward to changing the world of vision and research as we grow within our department.
