Biography
Dr. Joseph is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Nephrology. She received her medical education at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency training in internal medicine at the Sinai Hospital of Baltimore-LifeBridge Health. She worked for two years in general internal medicine as a hospitalist and then completed her nephrology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston and the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
In her clinical practice, she is a general nephrologist and she sees patients with general acute and chronic kidney disease, glomerular and genetic diseases as well as those with electrolyte disorders. She has joined the Onco-Nephrology program at Yale and has a special interest in acute kidney-related complications in patients undergoing cancer therapies.
Dr. Joseph practices both in the outpatient Yale Nephrology clinics at the Temple Medical Center and at the Old Saybrook Medical Center, and provides inpatient coverage for the acute nephrology consultative services at Yale New Haven Health and at the St. Raphael campus. She also sees dialysis patients in the local outpatient dialysis center.
She is also committed to teaching and mentoring medical students, residents and fellows.
