Eligibility and Applications

Eligibility

Applicants to the Medical Physics Residency Training Program should have a Ph.D. in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP-accredited degree or a doctoral degree in a related field (e.g. physics, engineering) with additional CAMPEP required medical physics coursework. Prospective applicants are referred to the following information on the specific prerequisites for medical physics residency: http://www.campep.org/ProspectiveApplicants.asp

Currently, we do not offer coursework to satisfy CAMPEP's didactic prerequisites.

Applications

New openings are generally posted in autumn with a December application deadline (watch the AAPM career service, MedPhys listserver, and our departmental website for specific postings).

Our program participates in the National Medical Physics Matching Program and accepts applications via AAPM common application platform.

A selected number of applicants will be invited to interview on-site (or virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic) between January and February. The new resident will normally begin their residency on July 1st.
