Kathleen Balestracci, PhD, MSW, is an Associate Research Scientist in the Child Study Center's Outpatient Clinical Services, working in In-Home Programs. She has been research faculty at the Child Study Center since 2005, following three years as research faculty at the Yale School of Public Health. Dr. Balestracci is the Director of Research and Evaluation for IICAPS Services and In-Home Programs, with primary responsibility for the statewide evaluation of the Intensive In-home Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Service (IICAPS) as it is delivered at 20 sites across Connecticut. She is coordinating the Family Health and Development Project, a randomized controlled trial of IICAPS. Dr. Balestracci received her doctoral degree from Yale University in Epidemiology and Public Health in 2001, and her social work degree in policy and planning from the University of Connecticut School of Social Work in 1994.
