Education Initiative

The Department of Neurology is committed to developing and implementing strategies to ensure that students, staff, and faculty are trained and educated in the important and benefits of diversity and how to successfully build inclusive environments. We seek opportunities to present contributions to our field from a diverse set of clinicians and scientists during weekly Grand Rounds. We have integrated discussions on health disparities, diversity, equity, and inclusion into Clinical Grand Rounds and schedule conferences. The Department of Neurology is committed to developing programs that recruit and support students and trainees from underrepresented backgrounds. The Department of Neurology offers a visiting elective scholarship to enhance workforce diversity in Neurology for those who are eligible. The elective engages students in clinical neurology and exposes them to Yale faculty, residents, and department and residency program leadership.
