The first-year MD-PhD Program course, called "Science at the Frontiers of Medicine" has been through quite a few iterations of change in recent years to intentionally incorporate instruction on rigor, reproducibility and the responsible conduct of research while continuing to provide students with opportunities to work closely with faculty to present published data. In addition to the changes in Frontiers, Associate Director for Curriculum Michael Higley, MD, PhD will launch a course in the Fall, 2022 for students to work with actual data sets provided by faculty to get hands-on experience with rigorous design and analysis of experimental data.
