Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship

This one- or two-year advanced fellowship in cardiovascular imaging is designed to give you Level III expertise in one (or two) imaging modalities, advanced exposure to other modalities, and appropriate investigative skills for a career in academic cardiology.

You will select a clinical focus, research project, and research mentor at the start of your fellowship and conduct research over one to two years.

Funding is also available for an additional two to three years of research training in advanced imaging technology and molecular and translational imaging through an NIH-funded T32 training grant as part of the Yale Translational Research Imaging Center (Y-TRIC). This training could involve:

  • Hands-on research experience on clinical 1.5T and 3T MR magnets for pre-clinical or clinical research
  • Pre-clinical experience with micro-CT
  • Microspect/CT and high-resolution mouse echocardiography
  • Pre-clinical or clinical experience with PET/CT
  • SPECT/CT
  • 3D ultrasound
  • Pre-clinical training in the theranostic multi-modality probe development
