Academic Analytics works in partnership with the YSM Dean's office and Finance and University offices to illuminate the path to informed decisions. Utilizing the latest technologies in BI, we present meaningful faculty lifecycle, human resources, compensation reports to inform departments and advise management decision making.

Operations

Academic Appointee Administration Operations oversees the academic administrative operations and processes that support YSM faculty, other academic appointees, and clinical trainees. This includes providing support for operations related to academic hires and onboarding, compensation, payroll processing, terminations, leaves of absence, retirements and interpretation of policies and procedures. Our team works with YSM academic departments to improve internal processes and systems and provide guidance and training as needed.

Questions and How-Tos

How do I submit a Compensation Above Salary request for a faculty member?

Requests can be submitted via the Compensation Above Salary Request Form. A step by step guide is available to assist with the process.

When is the deadline for monthly payroll submissions in Workday?

All requests should be submitted in Workday no later than the 15th of each month. Please refer to the Payroll Schedule for final deadlines and paycheck dates.

Does the CT Paid Family Leave (CT PFML) apply to all non-academic leaves (e.g., child rearing, medical leaves, caregiver leaves)?

Yes, please refer to the full list of qualifying circumstances for leaves under CT PFML on the State's website. Faculty are expected to apply for a non-academic leave through Yale, as well as through CT PFML.
