Lauren completed her undergraduate degree in nursing from Nazareth College and her Adult Nurse Practitioner degree from the Johns Hopkins University School of Nursing. After graduation she joined the National Health Service Corp serving as a primary care provider in communities in rural Virginia and Connecticut. Lauren was a 2017-2018 Duke-Johnson and Johnson Nurse Leadership Fellowship where she worked to create interdisciplinary clinics to improve patient care. In 2018 she joined the Neurovascular Section of Neurosurgery where she has worked to provide holistic care to patients with neurosurgical diseases. Lauren routinely sees patient with aneurysms, adult onset hydrocephalus and patients recovering from subarachnoid hemorrhages and strokes. Her research interests include adult onset hydrocephalus and quality improvement in the neurosurgical patient. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is currently enrolled in a doctoral program at the University of Connecticut.
