On Sunday, June 24th, Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital and Yale Cancer Center, in partnership with The Tommy Fund, hosted a space themed cancer survivors day for pediatric patients.
Survivors of all ages and their families attended and had the opportunity to connect with other families and spend time outside of the clinic with the amazing doctors and nurses that make up the Yale Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Program. There were food trucks, face painting stations and space themed activities all day.
Participating organizations included; The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp • The Tommy Fund• Colin’s Crew • Yale HEROS clinic • Circle of Care • Make-A-Wish Foundation of CT • Childhood Cancer Kids • Camp Rising Sun • Leukemia & Lymphoma Society • Smiles for Smilow • Sunshine Kids Foundation
