The Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is excited to announce that Alyssa French, MD, and Harry Moscovitz, MD were recently promoted to Professor in the Clinical Track. A big shout out to two extraordinary clinicians and the first to be promoted from Assistant Professor to Professor in this track within our department.
Since joining the DEM in 1993, Dr. French has been an unwavering, dynamic advocate for superior clinical teaching and excellent patient care. As one of our most outstanding “nocturnists”, Dr. French is an unsung hero, working long shifts and providing residents with a unique set of skills and training. Board certified in both Internal and Emergency Medicine, Dr. Moscovitz’s career at Yale has spanned almost three decades, impacting careers of thousands of mentees. He has served as Medical Director of the YNHH ED and founding Medical Director of the Shoreline Medical Center (SMC). His success with SMC is extraordinary, expanding it into a superior facility with exceptionally high patient satisfaction scores and turnaround times. He has also made significant contributions to our community, to Yale New Haven Hospital and Yale Medicine through program development as well as creating a culture of excellence through his extraordinary mentorship, along with his reputation for innovative, clinical care.
