Steven Schoenberger, MD, FACS, recently joined Yale Urology as a general urologist and is caring for patients at the Yale Urology clinics located in Madison, Connecticut and Westerly, Rhode Island.
Dr. Schoenberger focuses a large part of his practice on men’s health, with a special interest in minimally invasive and medical management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, male sexual dysfunction, and vasectomies. He is also involved in initial diagnosis and long-term management of urologic cancers.
Dr. Schoenberger completed his residency in urology at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, and also completed a fellowship in urologic oncology. Dr. Schoenberger served on the academic faculty of the Department of Urology at Tulane before joining a private urology practice in New London, CT in 1986. He served as Chairman of Urology at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London for many years, and was also Director of the Community Cancer Center in New London. Most recently, Dr. Schoenberger was an attending physician at Hartford Healthcare Medical Group in Waterford, CT and at Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT.
Dr. Schoenberger is delighted to join the Department of Urology at Yale School of Medicine and to rekindle his friendships and collaboration with existing members of Yale faculty.
