Overview
A Connecticut native, Kerry A. Morrison, MD, is a plastic and craniofacial surgeon at Yale University in the Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic Surgery. She is a Cum Laude graduate of Columbia College, Columbia University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree and was the Columbia College Campus Life Leadership Award recipient. For medical school, she graduated from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons with Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society distinction, as well as the Doctor Allen O. Whipple Memorial Prize in Surgery. During medical school, she completed a research year in plastic and reconstructive surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia University and Weill Cornell, and her basic science research merited receipt of the prestigious Gingrass Award from the Plastic Surgery Research Council. Dr. Morrison completed Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency training and served as Chief Resident at New York University (NYU) Langone Health’s Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery, ranked the number one plastic surgery residency program in the country during her time there. She completed her Craniofacial Surgery Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Morrison has a commitment to providing the highest quality surgical care to her patients, and her clinical focus is in adult and pediatric craniofacial surgery as well as pediatric plastic surgery. With a keen interest in cleft lip and palate, microtia, craniosynostosis, and vascular anomalies, she is fellowship-trained in caring for pediatric plastic surgery patients, and her research endeavors parallel her clinical interests.
Dr. Morrison is an academic plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals, contributed book chapters, presented nationally, and received numerous research accolades. In addition to her clinical practice, she remains dedicated to teaching and mentorship, and is a member of multiple national plastic surgery societies.
