Clinical Training
Fellows will rotate through Yale-New Haven Health and will gain exposure to microsurgical breast reconstruction, lymphatic reconstruction, and lower extremity reconstruction with optional experience in microsurgical head and neck reconstruction, peripheral nerve, and replantation/revascularization surgery. All breast free flaps performed are perforator flaps, including DIEP, PAP, DUG, LAP, and TDAP. There is also opportunity to participate in non-microsurgical breast, abdominal wall, spine, and other post-oncologic or traumatic reconstruction at the preference of the fellow.
Didactics/Education
The fellow will participate in weekly grand rounds, monthly indications/quality assurance conferences, journal clubs, and other teaching conferences and will have access to an abundance of research opportunities. The fellow will have protected time to attend the annual American Society for Reconstructive Microsurgery meeting.
