Biography

Moira Daley Bell, AuD has been practicing audiology for 30 years. She has expertise in a wide variety of audiological services including adult diagnostic hearing evaluations, treatment for hearing impairment including hearing aids and assistive listening devices, electrophysiology, vestibular assessment and tinnitus. Dr. Bell began her career at Yale Communication Disorders Department in 1993 where she specialized in adult and pediatric diagnostics and vestibular disorders. After leaving Yale in 1999 she spent the next 22 years in a private ENT practice providing similar services. Dr. Bell returned to Yale as Director of Hearing and Balance in 2021. "It's very exciting returning to Yale after all of these years. I really enjoy the patient population, the community driven atmosphere and the inter-specialty collaboration. It's very satisfying to be part of a team with one goal in mind - patient care."

Overview

Moira Daley Bell, AuD (doctor of audiology), is director of the Hearing & Balance Program and says she enjoys being a part of a team offering patients with hearing loss and balance disorders the opportunity to improve their lives.

Bell has expertise in a wide variety of audiological services, including adult diagnostic hearing evaluations, treatment for hearing impairment including hearing aids and assistive listening devices, electrophysiology, and vestibular assessment.

“I really enjoy the patients, the community driven atmosphere, and the inter-specialty collaboration. It's very satisfying to be part of a team with one goal in mind: patient care,” Bell says. “I have both vertigo and hearing loss in my family and have felt how difficult it can be to enjoy life to the fullest without help from professionals who are knowledgeable and who care.”

To that end, Bell says she tells her patients they are not alone. “I assure them that we are here to do anything we can to improve their lives, both physically and emotionally,” she says.
