Biography

Rebecca has over 20 years of research experience in beta cell function and metabolism under Dr. Richard Kibbey's and Dr. Gary Cline's mentorships at Yale University School of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine (Endocrinology). Rebecca is Lab Manager of Dr. Richard Kibbey's research lab established in 2011 and previously managed Dr. Gerald Shulman's lab (2004-2011). She is the co-founder and co-director of the Kibbey Lab Islet, Oxygen consumption, Mass Isotopomer flux Core (IOMIC) established in 2018 as a Yale University Service Provider (USP) measuring islet function, oxygen consumption and cellular metabolic flux for internal and external clients. She joined the section of Endocrinology and Metabolism's Diversity and Inclusion task force as a staff Staff Representative in 2019 and more recently joined the Department of Internal Medicine DEI initiative in 2021.
