Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in Addictions

Yale University, Department of psychiatry, invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in substance abuse research. The fellow will join an international team of researchers conducting NIDA-funded clinical trials (primarily in Asia) evaluating the efficacy of behavioral counseling and pharmacologic treatments for substance abuse/dependence and HIV prevention among adults.

The position entails collaborating with researchers in the US and abroad on project management, data monitoring and analysis, manuscript development, and grant proposals. The candidate will have the opportunity to receive training in evidence-based counseling interventions for substance use disorders and to participate in delivering trainings and supervision to study counselors.

Requirements include a Ph.D. in Psychology from an APA-accredited program and U.S. citizenship or permanent residency. Candidates should have a background in substance abuse research, excellent writing skills, data analysis skills, and experience or strong interest in evidenced-based behavioral counseling interventions. Candidates with a Ph.D. or equivalent advanced degree in Public Health, Social, or Behavioral Sciences will also be considered.
