Ways to Engage

The Yale Program for Recovery and Community Health offers collaborative research, evaluation, education, training, policy development, and consultation around recovery and social inclusion. We work to transform behavioral health programs, agencies, and systems of care to be culturally responsive and re-oriented to facilitating the recovery, self-determination, and community inclusion of people facing psychiatric disability and/or addiction through focus on their strengths and the valuable contributions they offer to their communities.

Led by Dr. Chyrell Bellamy, the PRCH team consists of a diverse multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary group of practitioners, researchers, educators, and advocates. Activities and expertise include:

All activities are designed to be maximally responsive to the preferences, perspectives, needs, and values of people and families with lived experience. Our work is rooted in community-based efforts and connections. We are committed to learning as we go from the communities with which we partner. We enjoy working collaboratively alongside people, families and organizations, across the boundaries that academic disciplines and diagnostic labels can at times create.
