Aniyizhai Annamalai, MD, specializes in providing comprehensive care to patients with both medical and mental health conditions.
Dr. Annamalai is particularly dedicated to working with refugees and individuals with serious mental illness, aiming to improve their quality of life and support their overall well-being. She is the medical director of the Yale Adult Refugee Clinic, where she focuses on the physical and mental health of refugees, addressing the complex and unique challenges they face.
As an associate professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Annamalai is also involved in teaching and mentoring. She received her medical degree from the University of Mysore in India and completed her residency in a dual internal medicine/psychiatry program at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine.
