Biography
Organization: Yale School of Medicine
Biography: Dr. Redmond is a graduate of Amherst College, and she was a high school science teacher in Washington DC prior to becoming a doctor. She earned her medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She completed her Pediatric Residency at the University of Massachusetts and her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine. She is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE), and she is an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She practiced neonatology in Columbus, Ohio in the Nationwide Children's Hospital system prior to returning to Yale to join the Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine faculty.
Dr. Redmond is an attending neonatologist at the Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital. She serves as the Medical Director for the Waterbury Hospital Neonatal ICU and as the Chair of Pediatrics at Waterbury Hospital. She is the creator and director of the 24/7 BABY program, a partnership between Yale Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine and Connecticut First Responders. She is a member of the division’s Neonatal Consult Service, providing prenatal consultation for high-risk pregnancies through Yale’s multidisciplinary Fetal Care Center. Her clinical interests include education, neonatal simulation, prehospital neonatal resuscitation, telehealth, and breastfeeding and lactation support.
