Biography
A graduate of Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Dr. Caramico completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Cabrini Medical Center in New York. She returned to Mount Sinai Medical Center for her residency in anesthesia. Dr. Caramico completed a subspecialty year in pediatric anesthesia at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Following her Residency, Dr. Caramico became an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale University School of Medicine where she was employed as a pediatric anesthesiologist. During this time she contributed to the development of the Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship Program and served as program director. Other administrative roles include co-associate pediatric anesthesia section chief and director of pediatric preadmission testing. She participated in research on perioperative anxiety in children.
Dr. Caramico joined Fairfield Anesthesia Associated and provided anesthesia care to children and adults at a free-standing surgery center. She came to Bridgeport Hospital by joining Bridgeport Anesthesia Associates. Coming full circle, she is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Anesthesia at Yale University continuing to work at Bridgeport Hospital.
