Hongyu Li, PhD

Postdoctoral research studying neurovascular mechanisms in Alzheimer's disease. Currently, my work focuses on visualizing the coordinated transitions and repair processes between endothelial and smooth muscle cells during vascular injury and thrombosis. I completed my PhD in brain vascular development, where I explored how neuronal activity shapes cerebrovascular architecture and how microglia-endothelial cell communication regulates brain vasculature in zebrafish.
