Richard Colon Jr, PhD

Project Coordinator

Richard Colon is an applied medical anthropologist. He is a project coordinator at InSTRIDE and is currently conducting research on addiction, justice system experience, and HIV/AIDS prevention. His previous research projects include work on: PTSD, cardiovascular disease prevention, hypertension risk, intimate and domestic partner violence prevention, fraternity and sorority life, sexual assault prevention, substance use and addiction, HIV prevention/medication adherence, and ethnographic research methods.

Using his previous expertise as a college professor, Richard has developed and administered interventions and workshops to high school and college students to reduce sexual violence on the college campus.
