April Shu, PhD, Postdoctoral Associate in the Xu Lab at Yale School of Medicine, has been selected as a 2020 College on Problems of Drug Dependence (CPDD) Travel Award for Early Career Investigators awardee at this year’s virtual meeting of the college.

The meeting will be held June 22-24, 2020. Shu will receive complimentary registration to the event and will be honored at the meeting. Travel awardees will be announced during the digital conference and their research presentations will be highlighted. In addition, a brochure containing a photo and brief biography of each awardee will be created and posted on the CPDD website.

Founded in 1929, CPDD is the longest standing group in the United States addressing problems of drug dependence and abuse. It provides a national and international forum for scientists of diverse backgrounds to advance the understanding of molecular-neurobiological aspects of addictive disorders and, by the application of new scientific knowledge, to improve and develop treatments utilizing novel behavioral and pharmacological therapies.
