Inamul Kabir, PhD, an associate research scientist in the Greif Lab, received a prestigious Career Development Award (2022-2025) from the American Heart Association (AHA). The funded research aims to uncover the “Novel functions of smooth muscle in dyslipidemia, obesity, and atherosclerosis.”
Kabir was awarded his PhD in molecular and cellular biology from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in 2016 and an MS in genetic engineering and biotechnology from the University of Dhaka. His research includes a range of topics relating to aging, vascular biology, atherosclerosis, lipid metabolism, obesity, and diabetes. Kabir was also the recipient of a Postdoctoral Fellowship (2018-2020) from AHA.
