Yuguo Yu

Biography

Dr. Yuguo Yu is Professor of Computational Neuroscience in the State Key Laboratory of Medical Neurobiology and MOE Frontiers Center for Brain Science, Research Institute of Intelligent Complex Systems at Fudan University. Dr. Yu obtained Ph.D (2001) in Physics at Nanjing University. Dr. Yu was trained in computational/Behavior Neuroscience at Carnegie Mellon University as a Postdoct from 2001 to 2004; and Associate Research Scientist at Department of Neuroscience at Yale University (2005-2011). He was awarded with the Shanghai Eastern Scholar Professorship (2013), Eastern Scholar Tracking Distinguished Professorship (2017), and Shanghai outstanding academic leaders plan (2021). He is a member of the Chinese Society of Computational Neuroscience.

Research interest: Energy Efficient Neural Coding and Decoding, Brain Energetics, Large Scale Spiking Neural Network.
