  • Lab Director and Principal Investigator

    Assistant Professor of Psychiatry

    Education & Training: M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey; B.S. from University of Notre Dame

    Research Interests: My clinical research program is focused on reducing tobacco use and tobacco-related harm. Ongoing projects are focused on examining cigarette and e-cigarette use among youth and adults and studying interventions that have broad reach, including in areas of tobacco regulatory policy and mobile health interventions.

    Life outside the lab: I love going to the beach, trying new restaurants, reading fiction books, and spending time with my two kids!

    Education & Training: Ph.D. in Epidemiology from Indiana University, MS in Mathematical Statistics from University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, and BS in Biomathematics from Universidad Ana G. Méndez Cupey Campus

    Research Interests: I am interested in substance use prevention, especially: (1) the association between substance use and obesity, (2) polysubstance use on sexual minorities, and (3) smoking cessation.

    Life outside the lab: My hobbies include going to the gym, reading books, outdoor activities such as going to the beach or hiking, and community service.

    Education & Training: Ph.D. in Cancer Science from University at Buffalo, M.S. in Dental Science (MDS) from SGT University, India, and BDS from MD University, India.

    Research Interests: My research focuses on perceptions that influence uptake and ongoing use of tobacco and nicotine products such as cigarettes, e-cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco among youth and adults. I am also interested in exploring the effect of potential regulatory policies on tobacco use behaviors, and learning how these policies may influence pre-existing health disparities.

    Life outside the lab: I love exploring new places with my family, going on hikes, and painting in my free time.

    Education & Training: B.S. in Psychology from Fordham University

    Research Interests: I am currently working with Dr. Krysten Bold on her study regarding tobacco regulatory policy and its impact on smoking behavior. I am interested in pursuing higher education in Clinical Psychology and research on substance use maintenance and intervention.

    Life outside the lab: In addition to my academic interests, I enjoy unnecessarily intense Scrabble games and trying different arts and crafts.

    Education & Training: B.S. in Psychology from Trinity College

    Research Interests: My senior honors thesis focused on e-cigarette use, expectancies, and readiness to quit within the college population. Ongoing projects are focused on the effects of different tobacco products in adults, and the use of digital health technology to monitor modifiable risk factors and to administer interventions.

    Life outside the lab: I enjoy cycling and visiting new places.

    Research Interests: Throughout my time at Yale, I have worked with a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing saliva-based testing and equitable diagnostics in public health. I am also passionate about mental health awareness/stigma reduction, supporting communities impacted by the war on drugs, and exploring marketing strategy.

    Life outside the lab: I love trying new foods, traveling, and taking photos on film.

    Research Interests: My research interests in clinical psychology include substance use and addiction, with a particular emphasis on informing public policy to advance health equity.

    Life outside the lab: You can find me reading poetry, doing embroidery, or exploring the outdoors.

    Education & Training: B.S. in Psychology from Fairfield University (2024) with a concentration in Behavioral Neuroscience, minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies

    Research Interests: My main interests are mental health treatment and mental illness stigma reduction. After graduating, I will be continuing my education at Fairfield University and working towards my MPH.

    Life outside the lab: In my free time I really enjoy traveling, hiking, and spending time outdoors. I also enjoy jigsaw puzzles, sudoku, and crafting.

    Research Interests: During my time at Fairfield University, I have worked under Dr. Linda Henkel in the Applied Memory and Cognition Lab. My main interests are pharmacology, substance use, addiction, and social justice.

    Life outside the lab: Outside of the lab, my hobbies include traveling, nail art, listening to music, and spending time with my dog.
