The Dobihal Lecture

Wendy Cadge will outline key findings from her new book, Paging God: Religion in the Halls of Medicine that considers how religion and spirituality are present in large academic hospitals and how religious diversity is addressed by staff. She will speak briefly about the historical and policy contexts before focusing on changes in hospital chapels / meditation / prayer rooms, the work of hospital chaplains and the ways healthcare staff think about work around religion and spirituality - seeing them as sources of both consensus and conflict.
