YCC Humanities in Medicine Lecture: "The Yale Physician Poets"

The Program for Humanities in Medicine is thrilled to host a sterling group of physician- poets who will read from their most recently completed works.  Dr. Barry Zaret of Cardiology, Dr. Victor Altshul and Dr. Richard Kravitz of Psychiatry, and Dr. Laura Manuelidis of Neuropathology will share their poetic voices with us.  These authors’ twin vocations combine Wordsworth’s concept of poetry as “emotion recollected in tranquility” with Carlos Williams’ conviction that medicine “fueled and fired” his passion for poetry.
Please join us for this songfest by our resident Muses. It should strike a resonant chord!
