New Digestive Diseases lectureships

October 04, 2018

With the support of the Department of Internal Medicine, the section of Digestive Diseases marks the 100th anniversary of women at Yale School of Medicine by establishing annual lectureships to honor two exceptional mentors: Rosemarie Fisher, MD, and Guadalupe Garcia-Tsao, MD.

The “Dr. Rosemarie Fisher Lectureship" and "Dr.Guadalupe Garcia-Tsao Lectureship" will be hosted annually in the fall and spring respectively. Each year, speakers will be chosen by Drs. Fisher and Garcia-Tsao. Emphasis will be placed on inviting speakers in various stages of their academic careers who will reflect the diversity of career paths in Digestive Diseases. Each presenter will give a one-hour lecture with a focus on opportunities and challenges that shaped her path in the field. Faculty and trainees will meet with speakers to foster collaboration, networking, mentoring, and career development.

For more information on these lectureships, contact Lisa DeLizio, administrative coordinator, Digestive Diseases at 203-785-7312 or lisa.delizio@yale.edu.
