Clinical Care

Overview

Jason Lee, MD is a general urologist with a special focus on treating benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH), a noncancerous enlargement of the prostate gland that commonly affects men as they age.

“It’s a noncancerous condition and around 60% of men over the age of 60 experience symptoms associated with BPH, such as a weak urinary stream, frequent or urgent urination, and sometimes bleeding,” Dr. Lee says. While open surgery has traditionally been the go-to approach for treating very large prostates, Dr. Lee offers minimally invasive procedures such as the holmium laser enucleation of the prostate (HoLEP) as well as robotic-assisted surgery to provide effective treatments with faster recovery times.

In addition to BPH, Dr. Lee also treats a range of other urologic conditions, including kidney stones, cancers of the urinary tract, urinary tract infections, and voiding dysfunction. He also offers specialized care for men’s health conditions such as erectile dysfunction and elevated PSA.

Dr. Lee’s approach to patient care is centered on establishing trust and ensuring patient comfort. "I want my patients to feel confident that I am here to help," he says. "I take the time to explain their symptoms, available treatments, and which options are best suited to their individual needs based on their symptoms and anatomy."

Dr. Lee is also involved with clinical research, with interests in BPH, bladder cancer genomics, and systemic urinary tract infections.
