I was born in Venezuela where I went to med school in the Central University of Venezuela (UCV). During my time in med school I always enjoyed working in rural areas of the country with our indigenous populations, giving back to those who need it the most. I was fortunate to do my Internal Medicine residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where I stayed as Chief Resident and academic faculty / hospitalist. I am passionate about medical education and I am thrilled about starting this new step of my career and hope to be able to continue to serve our community, our patients and contribute to advancing the field of pulmonary and critical care medicine. In my time off I enjoy spending time with my wife Jessica who will be doing a Heme-Onc fellowship at Yale as well as hiking and mountain biking with our dog.
